Overview

In this role you support operational leaders across the Meals business to drive engagement, performance and a positive, inclusive workplace culture. You’ll handle employee relations matters, coach managers, and advise on HR policies and employment law. You’ll work with managers and stakeholders on change initiatives and use data to shape people decisions. This role offers the chance to contribute to a collaborative culture at Samworth Brothers and to grow through learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Employee relations case management (absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance)
• Coach and support managers on people management best practices
• Advise on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation
• Support organisational change, consultation activities and colleague forums
• Utilise people data and insights to identify trends and inform decisions
• Support recruitment, onboarding, talent development and colleague engagement initiatives

Key requirements

• CIPD Level 3 qualification (or currently working towards)
• Experience advising managers on people matters
• Experience managing employee relations cases
• Knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
• Strong communication, coaching and influencing skills
