Learning Support Officer (LSO)

Role Description/Criteria

• assisting students with their learning needs, either individually or in groups and general classroom support
• provide individualised behaviour support to students with specific behavioural needs
• supporting students learning academically, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually
• liaising regularly with teaching staff with regards to student learning need
• implement Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs)
• support a positive learning environment
• complying with the school’s Child Safe Policy, Code of Conduct and procedures relating to Child Safety
• attend to the needs of students with disability, students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, students who are unable to live at home, international students, and LGBTIQ+ students
