Our engineering client is looking for a Manual Machinist to work in their precision machining and assembly department in Lancing.
Core Skills and Experience Required
- Experience in Production engineering & manufacturing. Milling & Turning
- Rotating equipment
- An ‘ideas’ person / Hands on
- Mechanically and production minded
- Organised
- Good communication skills
- Striving for improvement of quality of process and product
- Striving for reduction of costs
Advantageous
- Apprenticeship in general machining and/or mechanical engineering
- Manufacturing software
- Desired-Programming – Siemens/Haas
Description of Role
- Production engineering & manufacturing. Milling & Turning
- Rotating equipment
- General manual Machining
- Assist in the coordination of assembly and test activities when required
- Problem solving
Working Times
Candidates are required to work 5 days per week, with an expected working day of 8.5 hours, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. They will therefore be paid for 8 hours per day
