Press Operator

We are currently hiring Press Operatives to join a leading manufacturer. You will be in a busy workshop environment, operating saws and break out laser cut parts. It is expected that your knowledge, competency, speed and accuracy will improve over time.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm Friday 7am-1pm

Rate:£12.71

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering high-quality finishes in a workshop environment while maintaining excellent safety and quality standards.
• Manufacturing or assembling components in accordance with drawings or customers’ requirements.
• Ensuring that housekeeping of work area is maintained.
• Operate saws.
• Break out laser cut parts.
• Linishing.
• Inspect products, evaluate finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Requirements:

• Reliability and good communication skills.
• Able to use hand tools.
• Ability to safely and effectively operate press brake controls, or previous experience in a similar environment.
• Ability to read and understand drawings.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ideally candidates will have their own means of transport to allow for occasional movement between sites, as the business needs.
