We are looking to recruit experienced Roofers to support our MOD housing contract, with opportunities available across London and High Wycombe.
The Role
As a Roofer, you will be responsible for carrying out roofing repairs, planned maintenance and refurbishment works across occupied and void MOD residential properties.
Working as part of our operational delivery team, you will ensure all roofing works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard, helping us maintain the quality and condition of homes across the contract.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out reactive roofing repairs across occupied residential properties.
- Undertaking planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to roofing systems.
- Completing roofing repairs, replacements and associated works within void properties, ensuring homes are ready for reoccupation.
- Working on pitched and flat roofing systems, including tiles, slates, felt and other roofing materials.
- Identifying roofing defects, leaks and areas requiring remedial works.
- Carrying out associated works to guttering, fascias, soffits, flashing and roofline components.
- Diagnosing faults and determining appropriate repair solutions.
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with health and safety requirements and contract specifications.
- Maintaining accurate records of completed works, materials used and any additional repairs required.
- Providing a professional and courteous service to residents, colleagues and other stakeholders.
About You
We are looking for experienced Roofers who have worked within social housing, MOD housing or similar residential maintenance contracts.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Roofer, preferably within social housing or MOD residential maintenance.
- Experience delivering reactive repairs, PPM and void property works.
- Strong knowledge of pitched and flat roofing systems and associated repair techniques.
- Experience working within occupied residential properties.
- The ability to diagnose roofing defects and carry out effective repairs independently.
- A good understanding of health and safety procedures, including working at height.
- Relevant roofing qualifications, such as NVQ Level 2 in Roofing Occupations or equivalent trade experience.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Good communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with residents.
Experience working on large-scale housing maintenance contracts or within a mobile repairs environment would be advantageous.
