JMC Legal Recruitment Limited is seeking a Construction Solicitor (Associate or Senior Associate) with at least 4years post‑qualification experience (PQE) to join its specialist Construction & Engineering team in Southampton, England. The role involves advising developers, housebuilders, operators and infrastructure clients on complex development and infrastructure projects.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• 4+PQE in construction law.
• Experience in contentious, non‑contentious or mixed construction work.
• Ability to draft and negotiate JCT, NEC and bespoke contracts.
• Strong client‑relationship and commercial advisory skills.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Draft and negotiate construction contracts (JCT, NEC, bespoke).
• Advise on professional appointments, collateral warranties, bonds and third‑party rights.
• Support major development projects across care, retirement living, marine and infrastructure sectors.
• Handle construction disputes involving defects, delays, payment issues, termination and adjudication.
• Work directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver commercially focused solutions.
