Junior Sous Chef

Reed Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Junior Sous Chef to join a busy and well-established hospitality team based in Ballynahinch

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate chef looking to progress their career in a fast-paced kitchen environment while developing leadership and supervisory skills.

Salary: £25,420 – £32,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes to company standards.
• Supervise and support kitchen staff during service.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations are always maintained.
• Assist with stock control, ordering and inventory management.
• Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation standards.
• Help train and develop junior kitchen team members.
• Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal specials.
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, Junior Sous Chef or similar role.
• Strong food preparation and cooking skills.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a busy kitchen environment.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Passion for delivering high-quality food and service.
