Job Description Trials Technician n 14 Month Contract n Ridsdale n £20.77/hr PAYE n 37 hours per week n Inside IR35 n We are looking for a Trials Technician to support test and trials activity within a specialist defence engineering environment. n This is a practical, hands-on role working as part of a small team responsible for setting up, operating and breaking down test arenas and equipment. The role would suit someone with a mechanical background who is confident working safely around equipment, lifting operations, test setups and technical processes. n The successful candidate will support trials activity to customer requirements, ensure equipment is maintained and fit for purpose, and provide accurate test data to support reporting. n Role Responsibilities n • Supporting the setup, operation and breakdown of test arenas and trial equipment. n • Ensuring allocated trials and tests are completed safely, accurately and to agreed quality standards. n • Maintaining equipment used for test and trials activity. n • Using lifting equipment, including forklift trucks where required. n • Completing equipment records and supporting accurate documentation. n • Providing test data to the Trials Engineer for customer reports. n • Supporting continuous improvement of range test facilities and capabilities. n • Working in line with SHE requirements, safe systems of work and business procedures. n • Carrying out training where required. n • Supporting wider site and operational duties as needed. n Skills and Experience Required n • Experience working in a mechanical environment. n • A practical, hands-on approach to equipment, tools, testing or maintenance. n • Good awareness of safety procedures and safe working practices. n • Ability to follow processes and complete accurate records. n • Confidence working in a small team within an operational environment. n • A flexible, can-do attitude and the ability to adapt when priorities change. n • Good communication skills and the ability to work with engineers, operations and site teams. n The following would be useful but not essential: n • Forklift truck licence or experience using lifting equipment. n • Experience in trials, test environments, range work or proving ground activity. n • Defence, MOD, munitions, military, aerospace, heavy engineering or mechanical test experience. n • Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 or ISO 50001. n • IOSH or similar safety qualification. n • SAP, Microsoft Office or Teamcenter experience n Additional Information n Due to the nature of the work, candidates will need to be able to obtain the relevant background checks and security clearance if required. n n JBRP1_UKTJ
