Overview
A private family in Belgravia are seeking an experienced, highly detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain their large five-storey townhouse with no lift to an exceptionally high standard.
The family have 3 school aged children, and are looking for someone proactive, organised who is happy to assist occasionally with school pickups.
The role is primarily focused on housekeeping and laundry, with simple family-style cooking for the evening meals and preparation of the children’s lunchbox food.
The family occasionally host guests, serving may be required. Travel with the family during school holidays is preferable but not essential. Driving is not essential but beneficial.
Duties included but not limited to:
- Detailed cleaning throughout the home, mopping, vacuuming, dusting.
- Laundry, bed linens and ironing.
- Preparing simple family style evening meals.
- Preparing food for the children’s lunchboxes in advance.
- Taking items to the nearby dry cleaners.
- Assisting with serving when the family entertain.
- Occasionally collecting the youngest child from school when required.
- Keeping the family informed when household supplies need replenishing.
Key Criteria
- Strong private household housekeeping experience; high-end hotel experience would also be beneficial.
- Confident preparing simple family meals.
- Organised, proactive and reliable.
