In-House Legal Counsel – Commercial / IP
Location: SheffieldPQE: 2–6 years
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Legal Counsel to join an established and growing business in Sheffield.
This is a great opportunity for a solicitor looking to move in-house, or an existing in-house lawyer looking for their next challenge, to work closely with the business and provide commercially focused legal support across a broad range of matters.
The role will have a strong focus on commercial contracts and intellectual property, offering plenty of variety and the opportunity to work with stakeholders across the business.
The Role
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts.
Advising on contractual terms, risks and commercial arrangements.
Providing legal support on intellectual property matters, including IP rights, licensing and protection.
Working closely with internal stakeholders to provide practical, commercially minded legal advice.
Identifying and managing legal risks while supporting the wider business objectives.
Supporting the development and improvement of legal processes, policies and procedures.
Assisting with wider legal matters as required.
About You
Qualified solicitor with between 2 and 6 years’ PQE.
Experience in commercial contracts is essential.
Exposure to intellectual property matters would be advantageous.
Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
A commercial approach, with the ability to provide clear and pragmatic advice.
Comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels and managing a varied workload.
