Accountant – AI-First Finance Team

Overview

As part of Duco’s forward-looking Finance team, you will own the month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting while reshaping finance processes with AI. You’ll collaborate across the business to automate routine tasks, improve accuracy, and accelerate insights. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to re-engineer workflows and demonstrate real impact through AI-enabled finance operations. Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
• Identify and lead redesign of manual finance processes using AI and automation
• Prepare and maintain financial records, journals, and reconciliations with hands-on posting
• Support financial reporting and analysis for internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
• Collaborate with the wider Finance team and business on daily operations
• Work with auditors on year-end queries

Key requirements

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified (fully)
• Experience redesigning or automating a finance or accounting process using AI or scripting tools
• NetSuite experience (essential)
• Hands-on experience posting and processing transactions
• Experience with ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in numbers
• Experience in a fast-paced finance or accounting role in a growing business
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes
• Strong organisational skills and prioritisation
