TradeAgent Senior Lead Platform Engineer

Overview

In this role you will help build a cloud-based, critical market infrastructure from the ground up. You will lead SRE-focused work for a new trading platform within LSEG, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and performance. You’ll automate deployments, drive cost awareness through FinOps, and guide product teams on deployment strategies. This position offers impact across regions and time zones, enabling scalable, secure, and compliant cloud-native solutions. You will play a key part in shaping a high-impact, delivery-focused engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain cloud infrastructure for a trading platform with KPI-driven improvements
• Own platform quality and act as SRE for non-production environments
• Support complex application stacks across multiple cloud environments
• Automate deployment of cloud resources to ensure high availability, performance, scalability and security
• Track and improve platform running costs as part of FinOps
• Contribute to DevOps best practices and guidance
• Enable and mentor product teams on deployment pipelines and cloud deployment strategies
• Engage with development teams to define processes, run POCs, and select suitable solutions
• Promote a one-team mindset with challenging yet respectful collaboration

Key requirements

• CI/CD methodologies with hands-on experience
• Terraform and IaC experience for AWS infra
• Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Gitlab
• Kubernetes, Docker, Helm experience and container tooling
• Experience deploying applications to Kubernetes
• Configuration management tools such as Ansible
• Code analysis and security tools like Coverity and Blackduck
• Scripting with Groovy, Bash or Python
• Monitoring with tools such as Datadog
• Scaled Agile delivery experience
• Open-source tool usage experience
• Experience with Anthos/GKE Enterprise on AWS (preferred)
• Security of cloud-native apps and infrastructure
• Cross-region/timezone collaboration
