Assistant Team Manager – C2C

Overview

In this role you will lead and deliver high-quality occupational therapy practice within a multidisciplinary Connect to Community service. You will balance senior OT duties with leadership, supervise colleagues, and maintain an active caseload to secure timely, strengths-based outcomes for residents. The role supports safeguarding, risk management, and contributes to practice development while deputising for the Team Manager when needed. This position combines clinical impact with team leadership in a dynamic learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional OT leadership within a multidisciplinary service
• Supervise and support colleagues and contribute to practice development
• Undertake complex OT assessments and interventions
• Contribute to safeguarding and risk management decisions
• Maintain an active caseload and deliver high-quality OT practice
• Deputise for the Team Manager when required
• Support delivery of timely, strengths-based outcomes for residents
• Work across locations (Guildford, Woking, Spelthorne) and in office as required

Key requirements

• HCPC registration and professional OT qualification
• Substantial post-qualification experience in adult social care or community settings
• Experienced in complex OT practice including risk, MCA and safeguarding
• Experience providing professional supervision and contributing to practice development
• Ability to balance operational leadership with direct clinical OT work
• Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
• Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Surrey
• Be able to work in a hybrid model with some in-office time
