Senior Project Manager – Mechanical

Overview

In this role you will lead day-to-day operations on large, multi-disciplinary commercial projects within Skanska’s Building Services team in London. You’ll shape design outcomes, manage contract and commercial requirements, and drive risk, safety, and delivery performance. The position offers impact across data-centre fit-outs and other sectors, with emphasis on cost control, interface management, and team leadership. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational management on large-scale multi-disciplinary commercial projects
• Challenge design solutions to improve buildability and reduce whole-life costs
• Maintain control of commercial and contractual requirements and forecast financials
• Develop and manage profit improvement plans and CVR
• Monitor risk, pursue opportunities, and communicate commercial implications
• Implement HSE management systems and promote Skanska safety culture
• Coach and conduct annual performance reviews for the team
• Oversee testing and commissioning of complete MEPH installations
• Line manage and develop project team members
• Coordinate with joint venture partners when applicable

Key requirements

• Experience leading project teams on large commercial schemes in London with package value around 25m
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination across interfaces and work sequencing
• Proven track record delivering large-scale MEP contracts on time and within budget
• Experience leading teams and projects; line management and development
• Knowledge of testing and commissioning of complete MEPH installations
• Experience in joint ventures with main contractors (preferable)
