Senior Electrical Engineer- Water

Overview

As a Senior Electrical Engineer with a water background, you will lead electrical and control systems design for MEICA projects, delivering robust, sustainable solutions. You will work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to meet quality, programme and budget targets across energy, water and resources sectors. You will guide project delivery, support instrumentation and control aspects, and apply CDM and industry best practices. This role offers exposure to renewables and water infrastructure, contributing to Arup’s low-carbon mission and UN SDG alignment.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and control systems work across water and wastewater projects
• Produce and interpret detailed design documentation and drawings
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to ensure project success
• Apply CDM regulations and industry best practices
• Support delivery within agreed quality, programme and budget

Key requirements

• Strong background in electrical design for water/wastewater projects
• Experience delivering detailed design documentation
• Proficiency with design tools and software (e.g., Trimble)
• Specialist knowledge in Electrical and/or Control Systems engineering
• Experience managing multidisciplinary projects and knowledge of CDM
• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline; professional registration (IEng/CEng)
