Principal PH Intelligence Analyst

Overview

In this senior role, you will lead the Public Health intelligence function to translate complex health and care data into actionable insights. You will guide a team of analysts to support Public Health, the Council, and the Integrated Care System, focusing on health equity and population needs. Your work will inform strategic decisions and drive improvements in health outcomes for a diverse London borough. This is a high-impact role at the heart of transformation initiatives that prioritise safe, high-quality services for residents. You will shape analytics approaches and leverage data science to tackle health and environmental challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead the intelligence function and manage a team of analysts
• Maximise use of linked health and care data resources through advanced analytics
• Generate actionable insights to support Public Health, the Council, and the Integrated Care System
• Analyze complex data to identify health trends and equity issues
• Assess need and service performance across health and wellbeing domains
• Lead Joint Strategic Needs Assessments to forecast current and future needs
• Apply epidemiology and evidence-based methods to improve health outcomes and reduce inequality

Key requirements

• Excellent knowledge of epidemiology and health analytics
• Experience leading analytics teams
• Proven ability to derive insights from complex data sets
• Experience applying evidence-based approaches to improve health and reduce inequality
• Strong ability to communicate findings to diverse stakeholders
• Experience with health and care data systems and linked datasets
