Mission Planning and Control Systems Engineer

Overview

Join MBDA to contribute to Mission Planning products for domestic and export customers across a range of missile systems. You’ll engage across the product lifecycle and collaborate with MBDA-France and external partners, shaping documentation and verification activities. The role offers international exposure, potential travel, and a strong security environment. This is a hands-on systems engineering position in a globally connected team, with a clear impact on mission-critical defense capabilities.

Pay / Benefits

• Salary circa 46k–57k
• Hybrid working: on-site 3–4 days

Responsibilities

• Support the full product lifecycle from requirements to proving and certification
• Collaborate with MBDA-France and local SMEs to deepen system understanding
• Author internal and end-user documents
• Engage in requirements definition and design generation with verification activities

Key requirements

• Understanding of System Engineering Process is essential
• Experience with Requirements Capture and Control (e.g. DOORS) and Configuration Management
• Ability to communicate and collaborate across teams and locations
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• General understanding of mission planning principles
• Engineering degree or equivalent
