Overview
In this role you help expand and mature Scale’s Apps Platform infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments. You will partner with internal teams to understand deployment needs, debug issues, and shape a roadmap balancing immediate priorities with long-term architecture. You’ll lead end-to-end projects, drive fast, secure, and reproducible deployments, and enhance platform observability. This role offers impact through multi-cloud deployment, incident response, and a chance to influence platform strategy at scale.
Responsibilities
- Expand deployment footprint to multi-cloud and on-prem environments
- Ensure fast, secure, and reproducible deployments across all supported CSPs and on-prem
- Extend platform observability for internal teams and customer deployments
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand needs, debug issues, and build tooling
- Respond to incidents with RCA and preventive fixes
- Contribute to product roadmap for deployment and observability
- Lead architecture reviews and manage end-to-end projects in cross-functional settings
Key requirements
- 5+ years building and deploying enterprise solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI and on-prem
- Deep expertise in infrastructure design, networking, VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls
- Proficiency with IaC, containerisation and orchestration (Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker)
- Strong understanding of CI/CD and delivery principles using GitHub Actions or CircleCI
- Experience with GitOps deployments and repeatable deployment practices
- Strong debugging skills and ability to navigate performance/security tradeoffs
- Comfort with ambiguity and switching between incident work and product development
