Quality Assurance Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead quality assurance at a key aerospace site, ensuring processes consistently meet customer, regulatory, and Magellan requirements. You’ll drive conformity across the organization and ensure the Quality Management System remains effective. You will develop and align the QA skillset across the workforce and communicate performance metrics to stakeholders. Responsibilities

• Maintain AS9100 certification and Nadcap accreditations, ensuring audit readiness and timely corrective actions
• Manage customer approvals, audits, findings, and closing of corrective actions
• Act as the primary QA contact for customers, handling complaints, escapes, and investigations with escalation of significant risks
• Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvements with proper documentation and verification
• Drive continuous improvement and structured investigations to reduce non-conformances, scrap, and rework
• Own development, monitoring and reporting of Quality KPIs; analyze trends and implement improvements
• Oversee the Quality Management System maintenance, procedures, document control, internal audits, and standards compliance
• Lead, coach and develop the quality assurance team; ensure performance against objectives
• Produce effective performance reporting to internal management and customers
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address risks and drive quality improvements

Key requirements

• 5 years in a similar aerospace QA role
• Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
• Certified AS EN 9100 or ISO 9001 lead auditor; membership in CQI or a related body
• Strong knowledge of NADCAP regulations
• Good verbal and written communication
• Good project management and hands-on coaching abilities
