Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Vickerstock are proud to be working in partnership with a leading manufacturing business in Craigavon to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer who enjoys fault-finding, troubleshooting and resolving machinery breakdowns in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in keeping production equipment operational, responding to breakdowns and minimising downtime across the site.
The Role
- Carry out reactive electrical maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose electrical faults and identify the root cause of breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot issues involving electrical components, control systems and associated equipment.
- Respond to machinery breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise production downtime.
- Work closely with production and engineering colleagues to maintain operational efficiency.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed in line with health and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of breakdowns, repairs and maintenance activities.
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in an electrical maintenance role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience responding to reactive maintenance issues and machinery breakdowns.
- Relevant electrical qualifications, such as an NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent.
- A proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working within pharmaceutical, food or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of PLCs, electrical control systems and reading electrical schematics.
- Experience maintaining automated production equipment.
Salary and Benefits
- £50,000
- Shift allowance on top of basic salary.
- Rotating shifts: 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am and 6am-2:30pm.
