Key Responsibilities
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:
- Provide high-quality care and education for babies, toddlers and preschool children.
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Create a safe, welcoming and stimulating learning environment.
- Support children’s emotional, social, physical and cognitive development.
- Observe, assess and record children’s progress and achievements.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and carers.
- Support children with additional needs and promote inclusive practice.
- Follow nursery safeguarding, health and safety and hygiene procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outstanding Early Years education.
- Act as a Key Person where appropriate, supporting children’s individual learning and development.
Essential Requirements
- A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare.
- Previous experience working in a nursery, preschool or Early Years setting.
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and children’s welfare.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A caring, patient, enthusiastic and professional approach.
- A genuine passion for supporting young children’s learning and development.
