TimePlan Education is currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work within a specialist school supporting pupils with special educational needs.

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of additional needs. You will help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment where every pupil has the opportunity to thrive.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils with their learning and engagement in classroom activities.
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support where required.
- Supporting pupils’ social, emotional and communication development.
- Encouraging positive behaviour, independence and confidence.
- Assisting with daily routines and personal care where necessary.
- Working collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team.
- Adapting your approach to meet individual pupils’ needs.
The Ideal Candidate
- Has a patient, caring and nurturing approach.
- Is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs.
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Can remain calm, positive and adaptable in challenging situations.
- Is committed to promoting pupils’ wellbeing, development and independence.
- Has previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable, but not essential).
