Senior Systems Engineer – Electronic Warfare

Overview

In this Senior Systems Engineer role, you will help deliver next‑gen Electronic Warfare, Radar or UAS solutions for UK armed forces. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the solution meets customer needs, manage requirements, and drive IVVQ activities. The role covers the full systems engineering lifecycle, with opportunities to influence architecture and engineering management. A security clearance is required to perform the role, reflecting the sensitive nature of the work.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate that the solution satisfies the customer’s approved operational needs
• Formalise and manage requirements using DOORS
• Assemble solution elements to verify design conformance
• Define specifications and engineering plans for development
• Support and undertake IVVQ activities
• Perform trade-off analysis, modelling and simulation
• Produce SE and IVVQ documentation
• Potentially contribute to Systems Architecture or Systems Engineering Management

Key requirements

• Bachelor degree in a Numerate, Scientific or Engineering subject (BEng, BSc)
• Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS or Polarion)
• Experience leading IVVQ of a solution/product
• Strong understanding of the engineering lifecycle from concept to test and design update
• Ability to integrate and verify multiple technologies to meet customer requirements
• Collaborative, stakeholder‑focused working style
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Security Clearance (SC) or the ability to obtain it
