Established in 1997, Jack Reid Cars is one of Northern Ireland’s leading independent vehicle retailers, selling over 1,000 vehicles annually.
Our dedicated Service Centre in Carrickfergus continues to grow, and we’re looking for an experiencedVolkswagen Group Vehicle Technician to join our team.
We have invested in our workshop facilities and diagnostic capabilities, includingODIS diagnostic equipment, to support our technicians in carrying out high-quality servicing, repairs and fault diagnosis.
The Role
As a VAG Vehicle Technician, your responsibilities will include:
Servicing, maintaining and repairing Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, koda and CUPRA vehicles
Diagnosing faults using ODIS diagnostic software
Electrical, electronic and engine management diagnostics
Identifying and resolving complex mechanical and technical faults
Timing belts, clutches, DSG transmissions and general mechanical repairs
Vehicle health checks and inspections
Maintaining high standards of workmanship, efficiency and attention to detail
Working collaboratively with our established workshop team
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, ideally specialising in Volkswagen Group vehicles
Experience using ODIS diagnostic software
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
Good understanding of Volkswagen Group vehicle systems and technology
Experience with DSG transmissions and electrical systems would be advantageous
Previous Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, koda or CUPRA main dealership experience would be beneficial
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving licence
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
