Job purpose

The position of Technician requires the need to support all facets of testing across the Centre Of Excellence test facility. The facilities include:

• Engine Test (Performance & Validation)
• Vehicle Test
• Rig Test (Performance & Validation)
• Specialist Environmental rigs
• NVH rigs and FIE (fuel injection equipment) build.

Skills Mandatory

• Intermediate mechanical fitting skills
• Basic knowledge of fuel injection system functionality
• Basic Instrumentation set-up / operational skills
• Basic data acquisition skills
• Intermediate computer (MS office) skills
• Basic test equipment programming examples: (AVL Puma / National Instruments / editing skills)
• Basic engine function understanding
• Either or both: Basic rig function understanding / Basic engine test bed understanding
• Good Communication skills
• Basic RISK assessment skills
• Sustain the BorgWarner values in your area of influence.

Desirable
