Welder

Millenium Site Services is recruiting an experienced Welder to join our internal engineering team at our Head Office on Haydock Road, Derby.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity to join Millenium directly, carrying out welding work within the rail industry.

The Role:

• MIG welding of components and sub-assemblies to engineering specifications
• Working from technical drawings and welding procedure specifications (WPS)
• Fabrication, fit-up, and rectification of metal components
• Carrying out visual inspection of welds to required quality standards
• Completing quality documentation and sign-off records accurately
• Working to strict health & safety and quality standards throughout

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Welder, ideally within rail, automotive, aerospace, or a similarly regulated engineering environment
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Own PPE/tools where applicable
• Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality and compliance
• Reliable, flexible, and able to work well as part of a team

Hours & Pay:

• Full-time, permanent
• Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:30, overtime after 39 hours
