Engineering Manager – Manufacturing Manager

Overview

As Site Engineering Manager at Myton Food Group, you will lead a team of engineers to keep machinery running at peak capacity and support on-time production. You will partner with Production Managers to minimise downtime and plan preventative maintenance, while upholding safe working practices and audit compliance. You’ll manage the engineering budget, drive continuous improvement, and promote a proactive maintenance culture using CMMS and SCADA. This role offers the chance to shape engineering capability and succession planning across a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Responsibilities

• Minimise machinery downtime and plan preventative maintenance to avoid production disruption
• Promote safe working practices and meet daily production plan within planned hours/manning
• Achieve daily customer service levels and ensure site compliance to audit standards
• Maintain facilities and site fabrication, manage engineering budget and investments
• Drive continuous improvement and legal compliance within engineering
• Promote preventative maintenance culture using CMMS and SCADA
• Develop engineering skill base and succession planning; drive engineering apprenticeships

Key requirements

• Experience in Manufacturing/FMCG or similar fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and a proven track record in coaching and engaging a team
• Strong decision-making, assertiveness and a can-do attitude
• Graduate calibre or equivalent with experience leading a high-performing engineering function
• Strong leadership and influencing skills to drive continuous improvement
