Technology Services Lead

Overview

In this role you will own production services for low-latency Equities trading platforms within a global, high-performance team. You’ll lead incident response, coordinate with traders and operations, and push for automation and resilience improvements. The position focuses on stability, observability, and operational excellence in critical trading systems. You’ll collaborate across global teams to reduce incidents and drive permanent remediation, shaping how we support market-ready technology. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced financial markets environment with a clear impact on platform reliability.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of production systems and lead major incident response through resolution
• Coordinate with trading desks and operations and manage complex production queries
• Identify and mitigate risks to improve platform resilience and performance
• Maintain change management discipline during high-impact trading periods
• Lead root cause investigations and drive permanent remediation of issues and technical debt
• Deliver measurable improvements in platform stability and reduce incident volumes
• Champion automation, monitoring, and tooling enhancements to boost efficiency and observability
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to overall engineering capability

Key requirements

• Experience working within UNIX/Linux environments
• Scripting or automation experience using Python or Shell
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Splunk, Cribl, Netcool)
• Strong incident, problem, and change management knowledge
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Confidence leading incident bridges and coordinating technical teams
• Proven ownership mindset in complex operational challenges
• Experience in Equities trading or financial markets is advantageous
