Overview
In this role, you develop, customize and plan tests for Android/Modem software in the IMS/NAS domain. You will work within Pixel Testing Engineering to ensure carrier features meet requirements and performance targets. You will collaborate across Telephony/IMS/NAS/AS teams and with Android software, TPM/TAM and Hardware groups to prioritize and resolve issues. You will apply AI-driven automation to accelerate testing and drive process improvements, contributing to faster product velocity and higher quality Pixel devices. Your work shapes the reliability of Pixel’s cellular features at scale.
Responsibilities
- Develop, customize and plan tests for Android/Modem software in IMS/Telephony/NAS domains
- Analyze IMS/NAS/AS protocol functionality and performance to uncover issues
- Collaborate with cross-layer and cross-organization teams for issue prioritization and resolution
- Lead carrier feature testing, regression testing, and performance testing for Pixel devices
- Debug, analyze, and coordinate with IMS/NAS/AS teams to resolve issues
- Develop AI-driven automation to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes and automation to boost product velocity
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 5 years experience with IMS protocols and 3GPP NAS
- 5 years experience with LTE or 5G NR
