Founding AI Engineer

Overview

In this role, you will be the first dedicated AI engineer at a pre-seed video and computer vision startup, shaping the product’s AI capabilities and technical direction. You’ll own end-to-end AI engineering, collaborate directly with the founders, and drive production-ready AI systems and infra improvements. This is a rare chance to influence core product quality and scale AI work in a fast-moving, founder-led environment. You will work on frontier models and agentic workflows to deliver practical AI solutions at scale.

• base salary 100k – 150k

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end AI engineering from design to deployment
• Improve product quality and infrastructure efficiency through AI
• Define and steer the technical direction of AI initiatives
• Develop evaluation frameworks for AI models
• Work closely with founders and cross-functional teams
• Experiment with LLMs, Generative AI, and prompt engineering
• Contribute to video/computer vision product development and production systems

Key requirements

• 5+ years in Applied AI / ML / MLOps
• Strong Python proficiency and production AI systems experience
• Experience with LLMs, Generative AI, prompt engineering or agentic workflows
• Startup mindset with hands-on, product-focused approach
• Computer vision / video / VFX / rendering / graphics experience is beneficial
