Senior Building Services Manager

Overview

In this role you lead the management of complex MEP design-and-build packages on healthcare, education, commercial, and accommodation projects. You act as a key link between the contractor, architects, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring budget, safety, and systems efficiency during construction. Your healthcare experience and NEC contract knowledge help maintain progress, timelines, and compliance with safety standards. You will coordinate installation plans, provide technical oversight of HVAC/electrical/plumbing, and lead teams to deliver high-quality installations. This is a hands-on, impact-driven leadership role within VINCI Building’s project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage off-site design processes from Concept/Developed Design (RIBA Stage 2/3) per Design Management procedures
• Oversee on-site design (Technical Design and Construction, RIBA Stage 4/5) per Design Management procedures
• Provide technical support to on-site construction to uphold quality benchmarks
• Assist the Design Manager with task responsibilities
• Lead MEP bid and preconstruction management
• Oversee high-value MEP subcontract packages on Healthcare, Education, Commercial, and accommodation projects
• Ensure alignment with project objectives and budgets
• Drive cost-control processes and financial discipline
• Foster relationships with clients, subcontractors, and construction teams
• Provide technical expertise across electrical, mechanical, fire safety, security, water treatment, and high-voltage systems

Key requirements

• Experience with Healthcare schemes
• Knowledge of NEC contracts
• Proven track record in managing MEP design and build packages
• Ability to coordinate across contractors, architects, sub-contractors, and clients
• Budget management and cost-control experience
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Technical expertise in building systems: electrical, mechanical, fire safety, etc.
