Civil Engineer

Overview

As a Civil Engineer in a Birmingham-based civil and structural design practice, you will own drainage and infrastructure design for residential and commercial developments across the Midlands. You’ll work closely with senior colleagues to deliver robust solutions and navigate design delivery and statutory approvals. The role offers clear progression toward leading design packages and direct mentorship from leadership. This is a hands-on position with real impact on project delivery within a collaborative, growth-focused team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drainage and infrastructure designs
• Produce drawings for S104, S38, and S278 submissions
• Liaise with local authorities and design teams
• Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D or PDS and drainage software
• Ensure outputs meet UK standards and compliance

Key requirements

• Three to four years’ UK consultancy experience
• Strong drainage and development infrastructure background
• Proficient in AutoCAD and relevant design tools
• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering
• Confident communicator with problem-solving ability
