SAP Financial Accounting & Group Reporting Lead

Overview

In this role you drive large-scale SAP Finance transformations using S/4HANA. You’ll lead cross-functional teams in delivery, advisory, and governance across international programmes. You’ll shape finance processes, leverage cutting-edge SAP innovations, and mentor colleagues. This opportunity sits within a collaborative Technology and Transformation practice, offering visibility, impact, and clear progression in enterprise-wide transformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of functional consultants to design and deliver SAP finance solutions on large transformation programmes
• Advise clients on best-practice use of SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting capabilities
• Drive business process design and ensure alignment with SAP standard functionality
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships at senior levels
• Support business development activities and contribute to practice growth
• Coach and mentor junior team members
• Stay current with SAP innovations, including AI and automation in finance
• Support delivery using modern implementation methodologies (Agile/Waterfall)

Key requirements

• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting (GL, Group Reporting, Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable & Receivable)
• Solid understanding of Month-End Close, Financial Consolidation, and Intercompany accounting in multinational contexts
• Experience designing SAP Enterprise Structures aligned to business requirements
• Proven ability to lead fit-to-standard workshops and translate requirements into functional design
• Hands-on configuration across SAP S/4HANA modules
• Experience producing and reviewing functional and design documentation
• Strong grasp of delivery methodologies (Agile and/or Waterfall) and structured project governance
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Eligibility for Security Clearance (SC) for public sector engagements
• Desirable: ACA/CIMA/ACCA (or equivalent); public sector project experience; knowledge of IFRS/GAAP
