Planning Engineer (P6)

Overview

As Planning Engineer, you will support the Planning Manager to plan, monitor and control project programmes from award to completion. You will collaborate with project teams, Client and Subcontractors to keep schedules current and aligned with cost and resource profiles. You will travel 30-40% to site and other offices to ensure the programme is effectively managed and updated. This role contributes to the division’s growth in London by enabling proactive planning and responsive change management. You will work in a collaborative, results-driven environment focused on delivering on-time project performance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor and control project programme from contract award to completion
• Conduct regular programme and progress meetings to keep schedules updated
• Apply Earned Value Analysis (SPI) to align progress with timelines
• Ensure accurate planning and timely progress reporting, including milestones and critical path
• Drive collaborative planning charts to monitor programme changes
• Identify change events and update programmes to reflect milestone shifts
• Conduct workshops to mitigate programme slippage

Key requirements

• Primavera P6 experience (essential)
• Microsoft Project user
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills
• Experience in progress reporting and critical path analysis
• Stakeholder coordination with Client and Subcontractors
