Lead Software Engineer – Java

Overview

In this Lead Software Engineer role within JPMorganChase’s Chief Technology Office, you drive secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions as a core technical contributor. Responsibilities

• Design and implement innovative software solutions and troubleshoot complex problems
• Develop secure production code and review peers’ code
• Improve operational stability by automating recurring remediation tasks
• Lead architecture and design evaluations with external and internal stakeholders
• Foster communities of practice to spread awareness of new technologies
• Drive adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices with quality and security standards
• Leverage SDLC tools and automation to maximize value from tooling

Key requirements

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, application resiliency, and security
• Experience with cloud-native environments and AI-assisted software development tools
• Practical knowledge of the financial services industry and its technology systems
