Applied AI Consultant

Overview

In this role you lead high-impact AI transformation programs for our largest clients, moving organisations to AI-native operating models. You work with C-suite sponsors and senior engineers to shape strategy, drive adoption, and deliver measurable business outcomes. You’ll set the pace on transformative engagements, mentor peers, and represent Version 1 as a credible AI thought leader. This position puts you at the forefront of scalable AI implementations with executive visibility and broad impact.

Responsibilities

• Own our most strategic engagements and lead full-scale AI transformation programs from vision to adoption
• Set direction with C-suite executives to align AI strategy with business outcomes
• Guide organisations through AI-native transformation at scale (function, division, or whole business)
• Act as an AI visionary, connecting technology and business direction to gain customer buy-in
• Shape transformation deals, define value measurement, and protect client trust in Version 1
• Lead and mentor senior hires, help build playbooks and IP for the program
• Represent Version 1 externally as a credible voice on AI adoption and transformation

Key requirements

• Proven AI transformation leader at organisation scale (CTO, founder, or senior engineering leader)
• Genuine AI vision with a forward-looking perspective
• Fluent at C-suite level and comfortable setting strategy in boardrooms
• Deep, current AI engineering credibility with hands-on knowledge
• Track record of measurable customer transformation outcomes
• Ability to own high-stakes, ambiguous engagements and maintain composure
