Job Description Drainage Engineer n n Jobs : Central London & Surrounding Areas n HQ : Hertfordshire n Ideal Candidate Location: Hertfordshire n Basic pay : £33,000 – £40,000 ( DOE ) n Realistic earnings : circa £50k pr year ( basic + overtime ) n We’re recruiting on behalf of a small, well-established family-run business that specialises in delivering drainage services to high-end hotels, restaurants, theatres, offices, and other commercial properties—with occasional residential work. They pride themselves on professionalism, quality, and customer satisfaction. n Due to growth, they are looking to hire experienced Drainage Engineers to join their close-knit team. n n Key Responsibilities: n •Attend reactive drainage call-outs and conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM). n •Deliver a high standard of workmanship and excellent customer service. n •Typical tasks include: n oUnblocking and descaling drains oCCTV drainage inspections and reporting oHigh-pressure water jetting and mechanical cleaning oPipe repairs/replacements oTap and manhole cover replacements n •Compile detailed reports on findings and work completed. n •Use company-supplied professional-grade tools and equipment (CCTV, jetting, mechanical cleaners). n •Take part in an on-call rota (1 in every 2 weeks) to support 24/7 service availability. n •No fixed hours of work, but general working hours are typically between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM n Candidate Requirements: n •Full, clean UK driving licence (essential). n •At least 3+ years’ experience in drainage and 3+ years in basic plumbing. n •Experience in groundwork or general maintenance is a plus. n •Ideally hold certifications such as CSCS, HPWJ, confined space, or similar. n •Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and communicate clearly. n •Experience with CCTV drain surveys and preparing detailed reports. n •Professional appearance and a customer-focused mindset. n •Comfortable working flexible hours and being part of an on-call rota. n What’s Provided: n •Fully equipped company vehicle and fuel card. n •Company mobile phone with job management software. n •Full uniform and safety boots. n •Additional benefits: n o Performance-related bonus n o Rewards for positive customer feedback n n JBRP1_UKTJ
