n An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Professional Indemnity Associate or Senior Associate to join a highly regarded defendant insurance team in either Manchester or Leeds.

n

The role will involve handling a varied caseload of complex professional negligence disputes, acting predominantly for insurers and their policyholders. You will work on high-quality matters involving a range of professionals. Those with previous experience of construction-related professional negligence claims are encouraged to apply.

Your new rolen

• Managing a varied caseload of defendant professional indemnity and professional negligence claims.

n

• Acting for insurers, insured professionals and corporate clients.

n

• Handling complex and high-value disputes from initial instruction through to resolution.

n

• Advising on liability, quantum, strategy and settlement.

n

• Working with counsel, experts and other professionals on technically complex litigation.

n

• Supporting and supervising junior lawyers where appropriate.

n

• Contributing to client relationships and business development initiatives.

What you'll need to succeedn  

n

n
• Qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive with experience in defendant professional indemnity / professional negligence litigation.

n

• Have experience acting for insurers and/or insured professionals.

n

• Construction-related professional indemnity experience is beneficial.

n

• Possess strong litigation, technical and commercial skills.

n

• Have the ability to manage complex matters with appropriate supervision.

n

• Have experience of construction negligence / construction-related professional indemnity claims, although this is beneficial rather than essential.

n

• Be comfortable developing client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the team.

n

• Applications are welcomed at both Associate and Senior Associate level, with the scope of the position tailored according to experience.
