  • Running matters with an appropriate level of autonomy while delivering commercially focused advice
  • Building long-term relationships with clients and becoming a trusted adviser to key stakeholders
  • Supporting partners on larger projects, disputes and strategic mandates
  • Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and trainees
  • Contributing to thought leadership, networking initiatives and profile-raising activities
  • Assisting with pitches, tenders and other business development opportunities
  • Maintaining strong financial management of matters, including budgeting, billing and recoveries

Candidate Profile

Applications are welcomed from employment solicitors who can demonstrate:

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with at least 5 years post-qualification experience gained within a respected regional, national or London law firm
  • Strong employer-side employment law experience
  • A mix of contentious and advisory employment work
  • Excellent client-handling and relationship management skills
  • Sound technical ability coupled with commercial awareness
  • Experience supervising junior team members or trainees
  • An interest in participating in business development and market-facing activities

Personal Attributes

The successful individual is likely to be:

  • Comfortable building relationships both internally and externally
  • Collaborative and team-oriented
  • Organised and capable of managing competing priorities
  • Motivated to contribute to the development of both clients and the wider practice
