As Head Chef at OurHouse, you’ll lead the kitchen at the heart of the House, bringing our menu to life with precision and care. You’ll build a team that’s proud of what it sends out and run a kitchen that’s as well organised as it is generous.
Cooking for a family members’ club is its own craft. Allergen care has to be second nature. Dishes need to delight children and adults at the same table. Members should be able to count on the same standard every visit.
Our menus are developed centrally by our Executive Chef, so your craft is in the execution: delivering every dish exactly as it should be, every service, and leading the team that makes that happen. You’ll report to the General Manager and work closely with your Sous Chef, the front of house team and our central Operations team.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver our menu to the highest standard, with every dish consistent from breakfast to dinner and true to spec
- Lead, develop and inspire the kitchen team, growing your Sous Chef and CDPs into the next generation of leaders
- Keep the kitchen safe and well run, making sure HACCP, temperature checks and allergen records are part of the daily rhythm
- Manage food cost, waste and labour with care and transparency, and work with the General Manager on budgets and forecasting
- Work with our Executive Chef on menu roll-outs and feed back from the pass, contributing to menu standards and the evolution of our Kitchen Bible
What We’re Looking For
- Proven Head Chef experience in a quality-led, volume kitchen
- A real understanding of what cooking for families involves: allergen management, children’s dishes and dietary inclusivity
- Strong commercial instincts, with food cost and kitchen budgets second nature
- A track record of building kitchens people want to work in
- Calm, steady leadership when service gets busy
