Job Description:

The role

A project management post in the British Heart Foundation’s Creative and Production Team, which works as the charity’s in-house creative and marketing agency. You would plan and coordinate a varied set of marketing and communications projects. This is an extra, temporary post created to cover a short-term rise in workload, lasting six months from an agreed start date (as soon as possible), and it sits outside the permanent team structure.

What you’ll do

  • Draw up clear project plans and manage timelines and resources
  • Solve problems, keep stakeholders informed and balance competing priorities
  • Work with creative and marketing specialists, external partners and fundraising teams
  • Make sure projects are delivered on time, within scope and to a high standard
  • Help to improve the way the team works and share lessons with colleagues

About you

  • Experience as a project manager, either in-house or at an agency
  • A solid understanding of creative processes, marketing and project management methods
  • Experience of handling several projects, clients and deadlines in a busy environment
  • Highly organised, attentive to detail and able to use sound judgement
  • Clear communication and the ability to build good working relationships
  • A collaborative approach, comfortable challenging ideas and being challenged in return
  • A focus on the customer and a commitment to high-quality work
  • Strong written English, including grammar and spelling
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and current project management systems
  • Reliable, conscientious, compassionate and adaptable

What’s on offer

  • Hybrid working between home and the London office, with at least one office day a week on average; the team’s office day is currently Wednesday, which may change, so some flexibility is needed
  • Flexible working can be discussed at application or interview stage

The process

  • Apply online with an up-to-date CV and answers to questions on how you meet the key requirements
  • CVs are anonymised during screening
  • Applications must be your own work; the charity supports responsible use of AI
  • Interviews take place either in person at the London office or on Microsoft Teams
  • Adjustments to the process can be requested through the charity’s contact page

The details

  • Salary: £46,000 – £48,500 a year plus benefits
  • Contract: full-time, 35 hours a week; fixed term for six months
  • Location: London office and home; hybrid, at least one day a week in the office
  • Closing date: 20 October 2026
