Job Description:

Identify, target and approach new customers across food manufacturing, food processing and related markets.
Research target accounts, identify decisionmakers and build a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Meet prospective customers to understand production challenges, capacity requirements and investment plans.
Work with technical colleagues to identify suitable machinery and solutions for customer requirements.
Prepare proposals and quotations, negotiate commercial terms and manage opportunities through to order.
Develop lasting customer relationships and identify further opportunities where appropriate.
Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing and service teams to ensure customer expectations are understood.
Maintain accurate CRM records and forecasts, and attend customer visits, exhibitions and industry events.

Proven experience in new business development, technical sales or capital equipment sales.
Have the ability to work with other sales professionals to achieve £5,000,000 in new business.
Evidence of prospecting, building a sales pipeline and winning new customers.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Commercial awareness and confidence understanding customer needs and presenting solutions.
Organised approach to managing opportunities, quotations and follow-up activity.
Willingness to travel to customers as required.

Experience selling food-processing machinery, packaging machinery, automation or other engineered equipment.
Established contacts within food manufacturing or industrial equipment markets.
