Overview

In this IT Analyst/Support Engineer role, you will support IT operations across sites, ensuring service requests are tracked, resolved and documented to SLA standards. You’ll deploy and maintain office IT equipment, mobile devices, and Teams Rooms VC suites, collaborating with the IT team and business units. You’ll work to improve IT processes, participate in regular IT meetings, and help create a safe, tidy IT environment on-site. This role offers a hands-on, cross-functional IT experience within Murphy’s collaborative culture and development focus.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage IT operations tickets from creation to closure according to SLA and Service Desk processes
• Visit sites to set up IT equipment and ensure site setups meet KPI and standard
• Certify delivery and collection of office IT equipment to support agile working
• Setup and document site IT systems and equipment (switches, wireless access points); asset tag and track in IT Asset Database
• Deploy and support desktop and mobile environments, including company mobiles
• Deploy and support Teams Rooms VC suites across the business
• Assist IT Management to ensure department procedures and policies are followed
• Attend IT departmental/technical meetings to review progress and issues
• Maintain safety and tidiness in server rooms, workshop areas, and project sites and report needs to IT management
• Seek to understand business needs and propose improvements to IT processes
• Undertake any reasonable duties as required

Key requirements

• Previous exposure in a Technical Operations role or equivalent
• Hands-on experience as a support engineer (desk side)
• Practical experience of site IT delivery and support
• Excellent customer engagement, organisational skills and patience
