Job Description
BCS Connect is currently recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to support a piling project at Canal Road Industrial Estate in Trowbridge, Wiltshire.
The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for setting out pile positions, ensuring all setting-out activities are completed accurately and in accordance with the project requirements.
This is a short-term contract opportunity with a competitive day rate of £400-£450, depending on experience. The project is expected to run for approximately four weeks, with the engineer required for around two to three days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out pile positions accurately on site.
- Ensuring setting-out activities meet project specifications and requirements.
- Carrying out surveying and measurement duties as required.
- Working independently and liaising with the site team to ensure the piling works progress efficiently.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Setting Out Engineer.
- Experience in piling, groundworks or civil engineering projects would be advantageous.
- Own suitable surveying equipment.
- Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy.
- Availability to commence on 19th October 2026.
