The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Anaesthetics Consultant to support a busy NHS service in the West Midlands.
This opportunity offers a long-term locum contract with a consistent Monday to Friday, full-day working pattern, making it ideal for candidates seeking stability and continuity within a well-established Anaesthetics department.
You will be working alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams, supporting perioperative care and the delivery of safe, effective anaesthetic services across the hospital.

- Commitment: Minimum 6-month commitment preferred
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver high-quality anaesthetic care in line with NHS standards and best practice
- Support elective and emergency theatre activity as required by the service
- Work collaboratively with surgeons, theatre staff, recovery teams, and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Assess, manage, and monitor patients throughout the perioperative pathway
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Contribute to safe, efficient service delivery within the Anaesthetics department
- Escalate clinical concerns appropriately and support patient safety initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Active GMC registration with a licence to practise
- Eligibility to work at Consultant level within Anaesthesia
- Recent UK NHS experience in Anaesthetics
- Strong clinical judgement, communication skills, and professionalism
- Ability to work effectively within established multidisciplinary teams
- Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
- Ability to commit to a long-term placement
