The Opportunity

An established precision engineering manufacturer is looking for an experienced CMM Quality Inspector to join their team in Mansfield.

This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with hands-on experience using CMM equipment and CMM inspection software to join a busy precision engineering environment, ensuring components meet the required quality standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out quality inspections on precision-engineered components using CMM equipment.
• Operate CMM inspection software to measure and verify component dimensions.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Use precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, verniers and gauges.
• Identify and report non-conformances and quality issues.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure components meet customer requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Quality Inspector within precision engineering or manufacturing.
• Practical experience using CMM equipment and CMM inspection software is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection.
