Claims Field Consultant

Overview

In this role you support customers through remote claims management and on-site visits, helping them recover from incidents while upholding efficient, cost-conscious claims handling. You’ll work within Hybrid Claims Units to validate, scope, and settle claims, coordinating with claim owners and suppliers. The position emphasizes delivering strong customer outcomes, managing diverse journeys, and applying safety and building knowledge at sites across the UK. This role offers hands-on field work with a hybrid, flexible pattern in a values-led environment.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage customer visits and remote claims management to deliver outcomes
• Conduct site work validated by accompanied visits and quality assessments
• Prioritize and coordinate multiple claims journeys across perils and types
• Perform building scoping during first visits using data and inspection materials
• Use claim data to manage workload and drive timely resolutions
• Collaborate within Hybrid Claims Unit to grow technical knowledge and customer/claim skills

Key requirements

• Insurance claims qualifications (CII/CILA) or willingness to undertake them
• Full and current driving licence
• General insurance claims experience with knowledge of policies and claim handling
• Knowledge of building construction techniques and common defects
• Understanding of Health and Safety requirements for site work

• Excellent oral and written communication
• Ability to identify and support vulnerable customers
• Strong organization and time management
• Building construction knowledge
