Overview

You join Fitch Ratings in the EMEA CIPF Ratings team to deliver high-quality credit analysis for corporate, infrastructure and project finance issuers. In Manchester, you’ll contribute to rating opinions, monitor issuers, and support senior colleagues while engaging with market participants. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to apply Fitch criteria and deliver timely insights. This role offers exposure to a broad sector mix and opportunities to advance in a globally trusted ratings platform.

Responsibilities

• Carry out corporate credit analysis for public and private ratings and credit opinions
• Support a portfolio of FMCG, consumer and agribusiness credits with timely rating monitoring
• Prepare rating committee packages, action commentaries and issuer reports; present analyses to rating committees
• Engage with issuers’ management, bankers and advisors; collaborate with Leveraged Finance and other sector teams
• Monitor industry, market and issuer developments; respond to credit events and new mandates
• Contribute to sector and thematic research, peer analysis and investor materials
• Deliver timely, quality outputs with Operations, Enhanced Analytics and Publishing teams

Key requirements

• Relevant analytical experience in credit analysis, corporate finance, banking, audit, financial services or industry
• Solid understanding of corporate finance and financial statement analysis (IFRS)
• Cash flow modelling skills and strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative information
• Good written and verbal communication; clear credit views
• Fluency in English; proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word; comfort with Bloomberg
• Strong time management and ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines
