Overview

In this role you bridge exploratory cancer immunology research to early clinical development within the Oncology Translational Research team. You will lead hands-on biomarker-focused assays to inform decision-making in hematologic malignancies and solid tumors, collaborating cross-functionally to advance therapeutic concepts. Your work translates biology into robust experiments, contributing to publications and technical reports. The role combines scientific depth with practical impact in a fast-paced, onsite Cambridge setting.

Pay / Benefits

  • flexible and hybrid working options

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize multiparameter/spectral flow cytometry and related cell-based assays to profile immune, stromal, and tumor populations across hematologic malignancies and solid tumors
  • Perform ex vivo studies using human primary cells, tumor cell lines, and patient-derived samples, including complex co-cultures, with sterile technique
  • Develop readouts for proliferation, viability, apoptosis, differentiation, cytokine signaling, and target engagement to support mechanism of action analyses
  • Analyze data with appropriate statistics and visualization tools; communicate interpretations and next steps to project teams
  • Plan and execute experiments aligned with project strategy, manage priorities, and deliver reproducible data within timelines

  • Experience with primary human cell culture and immune-cell or tumor-biology assays, including complex co-cultures and patient-derived material
  • Intracellular cytokine staining and multiplex cytokine assays (e.g., MSD) to quantify pharmacodynamic responses
  • Strong quantitative data analysis and presentation skills (GraphPad Prism, Spotfire) with ability to produce decision-ready figures
  • Ability to independently design and execute rigorous experiments and translate results into actionable recommendations
  • Excellent organization, collaboration, and written/oral communication; meticulous ELN documentation
