Python Engineer -Mid and Senior – 70-82k –

A fast-growing digital team inside a major automotive financial services group is hiring a Senior Python Backend Engineer. You will build scalable services for its vehicle marketplace and a pipeline of new digital products for the wider group. Hybrid, central London.

Office working: Tuesday and Thursday in Office in Holborn, rest for home.

The role

• Design and build scalable, maintainable backend services, hands on
• Turn complex business needs into robust technical designs and architecture
• Choose the right tools and suggest new ones
• Work with Product, Design and Sales, sharing ideas through code and design reviews and pair programming
• Give technical leadership and mentor developing engineers

What you’ll need

• Expert Python: production services delivered end to end, not just years of exposure
• FastAPI, Django and AWS
• A solid grasp of databases, OO design, data structures, distributed systems and SOLID principles
• Analytical, collaborative and a clear communicator
• Engaging and personable, comfortable giving and taking honest feedback
